This resource page is a compilation of organizations which serve Placer County and/or the State of California but have offices in Northern California. PCMHC is not affiliated with any of the organizations listed and offers no endorsement of one organization vs. another. This page is intended to serve a sole purpose of providing organization contact information for individuals either looking for assistance or wanting to get involved in mental health as a volunteer etc. All descriptions have been taken from the organizations web sites.

Placer County Adult System of Care

Adult System of Care (ASOC) partners with agencies in Placer County to assist adults and older adults achieve their optimal level of self-sufficiency and independence by providing mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and in-home support services. Older and dependent adults are protected through investigations, case management, and the conservatorship process as necessary.

CNMHC "The Network"

The California Network of Mental Health Clients (CNMHC) is a solely consumer-run organization whose membership consists of affiliates and individuals throughout the State. It provides a statewide advocacy voice for California's mental health consumers. The CNMHC is a critical participant, stakeholder, and advocacy agent in all statewide mental health policy processes. CNMHC also lends critical support to self help and mutual support groups and programs throughout the state.

NAMI California

NAMI California is a grass roots organization of families and individuals whose lives have been affected by serious mental illness. We advocate for lives of quality and respect, without discrimination and stigma, for all our constituents. We provide leadership in advocacy, legislation, policy development, education and support throughout California.


Office of Self Help

The mission of the Self-Help Technical Assistance and Support Center (TASC), is to instill self-help and consumer run services and self-help principles as a core component of California's mental health system and thus facilitate a recovery based vision and individual recovery. This program will provide the infrastructure for the California Network of Mental Health Clients (CNMHC) to provide the centralized leadership and focus to move the State in this direction.



United Advocates for Children and Families (UACF) is a non-profit organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for all children and youth with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges and to eliminate institutional discrimination and social stigma.


Welcome Center

The Welcome Center is a fun place where anyone can drop-in to enjoy a safe, warm, friendly atmosphere. We are a consumer run program that is structured by the needs/wants of the community. The programs available are created by the participants for people to enjoy and learn.

Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing, Inc (AMIH) is a California 501c3 non-profit corporation that provides housing and life skills programs to adults with mental illness in Placer County, who otherwise might be homeless.

AMIH provides the bricks and mortar for the Welcome Home housing program with client support services provided by Placer County's Adult System of Care.

Welcome Home provides transitional and permanent housing for mentally ill adults throughout Placer County. Welcome Home specializes in providing a full compliment of services aimed at helping our clients live independently while facilitating access to the services they require. It is our mission to always seek out ways to help this under-served population heal and live independent and productive lives.


Sutter Roseville

Sutter Roseville emergency will contact Placer County staff for emergency psychiatric evaluations and possibly treatment at a county facility regardless of insurance.

Who is Health Express for?

If you are struggling to find affordable transportation to and from your medically-related appointments HEALTH EXPRESS is for you.

We offer a no to low cost transportation service for residents in Western Placer County. There are no age or ability restrictions.


Gathering Inn

At our intake sites in Roseville and Auburn, guests have access to:

Clean clothes
A place to relax

With the aid of our case management team, individuals can also receive
healthcare, housing and employment opportunities.

Each evening we transport guests by bus to one of the many hosting churches in south
Placer County. These churches commit the use of their facilities on designated evenings
to provide a safe and secure place for up to 60 homeless individuals or families to:
